"Sometimes I think I say things to hear you say that you still care. I want to intrigue you. I want you to take part in my life. I want to know I'm loved. I want to hear I'm beautiful." -Yours truly

So why do we want more love? Because the love we experience first is not real. It's not true. We are given this horribly fake idea of it and then we're told to search for it. We think we've found it and we get our hearts broken. We're stupid, so we try and fail many more times. Finally, we reach the point where giving up is easy. It makes sense, but we don't. We let ourselves be broken. Instead of looking for one person, we seek many. When one breaks our heart, we still have a few more to comfort us. It's a vicious cycle and we don't notice the pain. We don't care. We've become numb.
P.S. This is written from a non-Christian perspective. This is not what I believe. Well, yes, I wrote it, but I wrote it and then took all the Jesus-related things out. I did this so that I may better understand others and hopefully this can help you too.
